Great opportunity: furnace operator (England)

Now hiring: we are hiring a furnace operator in Telford and Wrekin, England. You will cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring. Requirements: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
