Stainless steel welder — Hunt County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Hunt County, Texas. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Your main tasks: • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) Requirements: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
