Now hiring: we are hiring a TIG welder in Akure South, Ondo State. You will work on a structural steel site. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Able to pass a weld test on the spot Your main tasks: • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run Six days a week, one day off.
