Sewing machine operator wanted in Marshall County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Marshall County, Iowa. You will be based at a knitwear stitching unit. Your main tasks: • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required Requirements: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
