Now hiring: we are hiring a skimming plasterer in Nottoway County, Virginia. The job is at a plastering and dry lining contractor. Your main tasks: • Check walls for plumb and level as you go • Apply scratch coats and key the surface for the next coat • Apply bonding and browning undercoats to brickwork and blockwork • Polish the final coat with a steel trowel and water brush • Dot-and-dab plasterboard to walls and ceilings • Set up trestles and scaffold boards for ceiling work Ideal candidate: • Reliable timekeeping and a strong work ethic • Able to read drawings and set out work to a deadline • Able to mix plaster to the right consistency by feel At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
