Immediate opening: we are hiring a fabrication workshop technician in Gloucestershire, England. You will be based in the profile cutting and welding bay. Requirements: • 2+ years' experience fabricating uPVC windows and doors • Knowledge of common hardware systems such as espagnolette and friction hinges • Able to work to deadlines in a busy workshop Day-to-day duties: • Install finished windows and doors, pack and anchor-fix them, then foam and silicone the perimeter • Crimp glazing beads to length and snap them into the frame • Insert galvanised steel reinforcement into the profile chambers and screw-fix it • Clean welded corners on a corner-cleaning machine and chisel off the weld flash Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
