Vacancy available: bar bender and fixer (England)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in City of Bristol, England. The role involves bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; assemble column and beam cages on the bench; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour. Requirements: • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing Six days a week, one day off.
