Precision welder • Union County, New Mexico

Vacancy available: we are hiring a precision welder in Union County, New Mexico. Day to day you will grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring). Requirements: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
