Great opportunity: we are hiring a rigger in Muscatine County, Iowa. You will work in a heavy machinery workshop. Ideal candidate: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites The role involves set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads.
