Immediate opening: we are hiring an automotive paint technician in Newton County, Texas. Ideal candidate: • Skilled with HVLP and gravity-feed spray guns • Physically fit to stand, bend and crouch for long periods Day-to-day duties: • Apply body filler and block-sand to a smooth contour • Wet-sand and buff out runs, orange peel and dust nibs • Wipe down panels with degreaser and a tack cloth before spraying • Apply primer, base coat and clear coat with an HVLP spray gun • Check the colour match under booth lights against the maker's swatch • Blend new paint into adjacent panels for an invisible repair At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
