Catering cook wanted in Northumberland County

Join our team: we are hiring a catering cook in Northumberland County, Virginia. You will be based in a hospital or office canteen. On a typical shift you will check deliveries and rotate stock using FIFO; label and date all prepped ingredients in the walk-in; manage the tandoor and skewer kebabs; prepare stocks, sauces and soups from scratch; chop, dice and portion vegetables, fish and meat. Requirements: • Food hygiene / FoSTaC certificate • Familiar with North Indian, tandoor and continental cooking • Strong knife skills and speed on the line At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. $22 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
