Join our team: argon welder (Iowa)

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welder in Winnebago County, Iowa. The job is at a busy fabrication workshop. On a typical shift you will clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run. What we are looking for: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Six days a week, one day off.
