Window glazier — City of Charlottesville

Vacancy available: we are hiring a window glazier in City of Charlottesville, Virginia. Your main tasks: • Cut uPVC profiles to size on a double-mitre saw at 45 degrees • Fuse-weld frame and sash corners on the welding machine and check the weld seam • Check the frame for square by measuring the diagonals • Rout lock and hardware pockets with the copy router • Glaze the double-glazed units, set the packers and bed the glass square Requirements: • Comfortable handling and lifting glazed units safely • Knowledge of common hardware systems such as espagnolette and friction hinges • Able to read cutting lists and fabrication drawings At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
