Lifting rigger wanted in Davison County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Davison County, South Dakota. The job is at a container port. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear On the job you will handle: • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists Part-time with flexible hours.
