Gtaw welder • Staffordshire, England

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Staffordshire, England. You will weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium 5+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift.
