Great opportunity: we are hiring a cnc production machinist in Menard County, Illinois. You will be based at a busy machine shop. The role involves deburr and chamfer machined parts by hand; read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T tolerances; watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes; change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear; run first-off inspection and sign off the part; run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles. Requirements: • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. We offer $4,200 per month plus benefits. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
