We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Perquimans County, North Carolina. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection The role involves set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal. 6+ years on the tools preferred. $18 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
