Sand plant operator wanted in Callaway County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Callaway County, Missouri. You will be based in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Basic grinding and fettling skills Your main tasks: • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
