Steel fixer — Racine County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a steel fixer in Racine County, Wisconsin. Day to day you will cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing. Requirements: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites Rotating shifts. Meals and transport allowance provided.
