We are recruiting: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Scott County, Illinois. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory Day to day you will change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality.
