Requirements: • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways • Physically fit to lift heavy components and crawl in tight spaces • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate Day-to-day duties: • Fault-find control circuits with a multimeter and test instruments • Rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables • Install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway • Test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake • Replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
