Foundry operative wanted in Fremont County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a foundry operative in Fremont County, Colorado. Your main tasks: • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges What we are looking for: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor Rotating shifts.
