Sand plant operator wanted in Forest County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Forest County, Pennsylvania. Requirements: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor The role involves: • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles Part-time with flexible hours.
