Brick and block layer wanted in City of Staunton

Immediate opening: we are hiring a brick and block layer in City of Staunton, Virginia. Ideal candidate: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets The role involves: • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
