Dogger — Gaya

Great opportunity: we are hiring a dogger in Gaya, Kano State. You will work at a power plant. You will inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift. Ideal candidate: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Full-time, day shift.
