Crane rigger • Boone County, Indiana

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a crane rigger in Boone County, Indiana. The job is in a steel fabrication yard. On a typical shift you will guide loads through tight openings into their final position; read lift plans and method statements before starting; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position. Ideal candidate: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams 2+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
