Immediate opening: we are hiring a concrete shuttering carpenter in Portsmouth, England. The job is on a bridge and flyover project. On the job you will handle: • Assemble and align system formwork panels (Doka, Peri, MIVAN) • Watch the formwork during concreting and tighten up any movement • Read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters • Seal panel joints and hold the correct concrete cover to prevent grout loss • Fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure Requirements: • Hands-on with timber, plywood and system formwork • Able to keep pace with tight pour schedules • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long shifts A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
