We are recruiting: precision welder (Virginia)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a precision welder in Dinwiddie County, Virginia. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Day to day you will set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion. Ideal candidate: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Pay around $4,800 per month, based on your experience. Contact us to fix an interview.
