Now hiring: concrete shuttering carpenter (Texas)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a concrete shuttering carpenter in Hockley County, Texas. You will work at a precast concrete yard. You will erect wall and column formwork to line, level and plumb; fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure; cut and assemble plywood and timber panels for columns, beams and slabs; fix stop ends and kickers at the construction joints; set up adjustable steel props and falsework to support the slab decking; read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters. Requirements: • Able to keep pace with tight pour schedules • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long shifts • Knows de-shuttering times and concrete curing 1+ years on the tools preferred. $5,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
