Industrial sewing operator wanted in Calcasieu Parish

We are recruiting: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana. The job is in a small denim manufacturing unit. On the job you will handle: • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching What we are looking for: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time, day shift. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
