Aluminium TIG welder — Montgomery County

Immediate opening: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Montgomery County, Virginia. The job is at an automotive body and exhaust shop. On a typical shift you will strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec. You should have: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection Rotating shifts.
