Now hiring: we are hiring a light vehicle driver in Halifax County, North Carolina. The job is with a transport contractor. You will load and unload parcels and secure the load with straps and ropes; plan the delivery route using GPS and live traffic updates; maintain the vehicle logbook and record opening and closing mileage; park and reverse safely in tight loading bays and narrow lanes; keep the cabin and load area clean and tidy; deliver goods to customers and collect signatures or proof of delivery. What we are looking for: • Polite and presentable for customer-facing deliveries • Valid police verification / background check • Minimum 2 years of accident-free driving experience At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
