Vacancy available: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Caerphilly County Borough, Wales. The job is on a structural steel site. Your main tasks: • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks Requirements: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard 2+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. Meals and transport allowance provided. Pay around £2,600 per month, based on your experience. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
