Immediate opening: retail butcher (Iowa)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a retail butcher in Jones County, Iowa. You will be based at a busy retail butcher's shop. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling You will break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; weigh, price and label cuts for the display case; season and marinate meat on request. Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $2,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
