Great opportunity: offshore rigger (California)

Immediate opening: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Modoc County, California. Day-to-day duties: • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads Requirements: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
