Immediate opening: we are hiring a furnace operator in Henry County, Indiana. Your main tasks: • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes Ideal candidate: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
