Vacancy available: elevator service technician (New York)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an elevator service technician in Essex County, New York. You will be based in a machine room on the rooftop. The role involves: • Adjust door operator timing and re-levelling accuracy • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear • Run load and overload tests with test weights • Measure rope tension and check for broken strands • Mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators You should have: • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate Full-time, day shift.
