Gardener wanted in Plymouth

Now hiring: we are hiring a gardener in Plymouth, England. You will be based on the grounds of a hotel resort. On a typical shift you will repot nursery stock and pot on cuttings; sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades; apply fertiliser, compost and mulch to beds; rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste; mow and edge lawns with petrol and ride-on mowers; dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for bending, lifting and long hours outdoors • Valid driving licence for travel between sites • Previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance 4+ years on the tools preferred. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
