Now hiring: we are hiring a hand presser in McKean County, Pennsylvania. You will work at a garment factory. On a typical shift you will check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; give each garment a final press before packing; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board. Requirements: • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory 5+ years on the tools preferred. $160 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
