Now hiring: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Ajingi, Kano State. On a typical shift you will conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task; deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors; run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry; inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements. You should have: • Clear spoken delivery for toolbox talks and inductions • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot 6+ years on the tools preferred.
