We are recruiting: argon welder (Alaska)

Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon welder in Aleutians East Borough, Alaska. You will feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run. What we are looking for: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
