Now hiring: we are hiring an uPVC window fitter in Estill County, Kentucky. You will be based at a uPVC door and window showroom-cum-workshop. On the job you will handle: • Install finished windows and doors, pack and anchor-fix them, then foam and silicone the perimeter • Rout lock and hardware pockets with the copy router • Check the frame for square by measuring the diagonals • Cut uPVC profiles to size on a double-mitre saw at 45 degrees • Fit EPDM gaskets and brush-pile weather seals along the rails You should have: • Able to work to deadlines in a busy workshop • Accurate measuring and squaring to within a couple of millimetres • Able to read cutting lists and fabrication drawings 3+ years on the tools preferred.
