Aluminium tig welder — Iredell County

We are recruiting: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Iredell County, North Carolina. You will be based in a food and dairy equipment factory. On the job you will handle: • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions You should have: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection Full-time with occasional weekends.
