Furnace operator • Beauregard Parish, Louisiana

Now hiring: we are hiring a furnace operator in Beauregard Parish, Louisiana. You will work at a brass and bronze foundry. Your main tasks: • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand What we are looking for: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. $3,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
