Great opportunity: we are hiring a pastry baker in Cameron Parish, Louisiana. The job is in a hotel pastry kitchen. On the job you will handle: • Score the top of loaves before baking • Load and unload the deck oven with a peel • Weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe • Pipe and fill cakes, pastries and cream rolls • Proof and fry doughnuts, then glaze them Requirements: • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens • Able to work early-morning and night shifts • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving $3,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
