Hoist operator — Saint Tammany Parish

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a hoist operator in Saint Tammany Parish, Louisiana. The job is at a container port and shipping yard. Day to day you will park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift; keep a safe distance from overhead power lines; hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control; rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams; help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone; work out the load weight and the lifting radius. Ideal candidate: • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) • A good head for heights for tower crane work Pay around $4,700 per month, based on your experience.
