Great opportunity: fabrication workshop technician (England)

Now hiring: we are hiring a fabrication workshop technician in West Berkshire, England. You will work at a glazing and fabrication factory. Your main tasks: • Take site measurements of openings before fabrication • Glaze the double-glazed units, set the packers and bed the glass square • Fuse-weld frame and sash corners on the welding machine and check the weld seam • Rout lock and hardware pockets with the copy router • Fit espagnolette locking gear, friction hinges, handles and keeps to the sash • Install finished windows and doors, pack and anchor-fix them, then foam and silicone the perimeter Requirements: • Able to work to deadlines in a busy workshop • Own basic hand tools (tape, square, screw gun) • 2+ years' experience fabricating uPVC windows and doors Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Pay around £3,050 per month, based on your experience. Share your details and we will call you back.
