We are recruiting: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Alcona County, Michigan. You will be based in a textile and apparel unit. Requirements: • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown The role involves press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality.
