Heavy equipment operator wanted in Buchanan County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in Buchanan County, Iowa. You will work on a busy construction site. The role involves operate the boom, stick and bucket to dig, lift and place material; keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines; check for underground cables and services before digging; work in coordination with the banksman and ground crew on signals; backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations; keep the cab clean and complete the daily machine logbook. What we are looking for: • Awareness of site safety, PPE and lifting procedures • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise • Valid heavy equipment / plant operator licence Overtime paid at a premium rate.
