Steel erection rigger wanted in Avery County

Join our team: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Avery County, North Carolina. You will be based on an offshore oil and gas platform. Day to day you will carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; guide loads through tight openings into their final position. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites 3+ years on the tools preferred. $4,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
